7 Facts About Me

I got this idea from a friend(neighbor) and thought Id give it a try and thought it might be fun if you all wanted to do it too, so I can enjoy getting to know my blog buddies even better:)

Fact 1: Since Nick and I have been married we have moved 6 times. From Cincinnati OH, to Lafayette IN, to a new place in Cincinnati OH again, to a new place in Lafayette IN again, to Mahomet IL, and finally to Knoxville TN.

Fact 2: The first thing I notice about someone when I meet them is thier hair. Im always out seeking for a new hair style(this goes for girls only of course).

Fact 3: I didn't play sports in high school, but I did sing in the choir called "Melodyaires".

Fact 4: I love to be outdoors. Whether that be swimming, water skiing, snow skiing, gardening, bungee jumping, hiking, boating, camping, canoeing, or just laying in the sun:)

Fact 5: My dream is to build our own house on a farm (lots of acres) out in the country, have a few small pets(outdoor of course), with a swimming pool out back and lots of room for the boys to play.

Fact 6: Before I had children I despised chocolate and shopping??? I know, what was wrong with me???

Fact 7: I have a phobia of Frogs. I would gladly take a spider(as long as its not a black widow) over a frog.

Have a wonderful day y'all.

Confessions

Well I liked Ann and Jenny's blog of their confessions and so I thought Id add to that by sharing mine. Don't we all have them?? Maybe some of us have it worse than others, and maybe there are those rare ones out there that don't have any?? If you are one of those, please leave a comment on how you have that perfectly clean house and yet raise children:) Id love to know your secret!!!

Here is the pile of laundry that is cleaned and waiting to be folded. Its been there for 24 hours!!! Thankfully its only whites which are mostly socks and towels which dont' mind if they are wrinkled:) Im pretty notorious for a left over "last load" forget abouts. Meaning, I do well with getting most of the laundry upstairs and folded and put away, but there is always that white load I tend to forget about and may even leave in the dryer the whole week until I open up the dryer to put in the following weeks wash and viola "there are clothes in the dryer". Opps. This is our bathroom...I know, it looks like its just MY bathroom. I am once again leaving it look this way more often than not. I mean, whats the use of putting it all away just to get it out again the next morning?? Poor nick has no room for his toothbrush and deoderant:) (what else does a guy have to clog up the bathroom counters?)Oh and now we have Elijah's room. He is really into playmobil. Im thankful he found something he can enjoy, but wow...all those little pieces(and you think lego's are bad??) This stuff is so tiny that I dont' even see it when sweeping sometimes and opps...there goes another piece. I do not make Elijah clean this up everynight since it stays in his room....but I do close the door often so I don't have to look at it.Last but not least....the toy room(bonus room). This is where we spend the majority of our family time (minus the kitchen) and you will notice that this is a "clean" picture. Thats right....this is the only room besides the kitchen that if it is not clean before bed I can hardly sleep. I make the boys clean this nearly everynight. I have let it go a night or two, but for the majority this is the room that MUST be cleaned before bed, before snack, before baths, before anything. In fact it will be the middle of the day and I walk into this room and it will be a disaster...like a tornado went thru. I immediately make the kids clean up everything except the one item they are currently playing with. I know, call me mean, but thats how much the mess can bother me in this room.

So anyway, there you have my confessions. Sure hope you enjoy and share a few of your own so I don't have to feel like such a pathetic mom:)

Set the World on Fire

Ok, this post may not hit some like its affected me, but I decided to post a more meaningful post. I have attatched a song from YouTube that I just love.

Lately I have really been feeling called to spread the word of God. The slight problem with this is I have never really been taught how to go out and tell others about God and the salvation that is awaiting for each and everyone who would just believe in Jesus Christ, claim him as their own, have a personal relationship with him and spread the gospel. I know that Christ does not want one (NOT ONE) person to perish. I am in the midst of reading 23 Minutes in Hell. What a book!! One that has spured this desire of mine. I also have a sweet neighbor who neither her nor her husband or little boy are christians (and she is due to have another baby this summer). I have talked to her on a shallow basis about God, and have invited them to church twice(which they have not come), but I have not been successful in being the witness that I know God wants me to be. I dont' know why its hard to tell someone about GOD...the most important thing on this earth. I mean, I can tell other stories to her no problem, but to tell her about God I just choke up. Where do I start, what do I ask?? Anyone out there have any advice. I would appreciate anything. So anyway, I heard this song on the radio and just started bawling. I have heard it several times since and never have known who sang it. The words are so meaningful to me right now. I want to set the world on fire, I want God to use me, to take my dreams of telling others about christ and give them wings. I know I am small, but God you are big and you can give my dreams wings. Here is the song. Enjoy.
