An Aunt Again

I would love to post some adorable pictures of my new nephew, but I figured I better wait till his mommy posts him on her blog.

But with that being said....I am an aunt again to a precious adorable little boy named Austin Reece Pritts. He was born Wednesday at 10am and he is 7 lbs and 5 oz. He is adorable with a headful of dark hair.....

Pictures to come soon:)

Summer Vacation

Here is our summer vacation at Lake Wedowee, AL in pictures. We had a great time and couldn't have asked for better weather!!!
Two extremely best buddies. Chloe...thanks for being Elijah's friend. He just thinks you are the best!! I think these two kids are as close as friends as Chloe's mom and I:)

Daddy giving Liam his FIRST Jetski ride. He loved it so much, that he fell asleep on it:)

Rudy and Elijah setting out to sea.

We were able to use the Camps Jetski all week. So much fun.

Liam's first time in the kiddie pool. He liked it alot. He is wearing his lifevest because whenever Id take it off of him he would scream and cry and hold onto it so tight it almost took two people to pry it off.

Tubing time!! Big Bertha is a scary tube...flips really easily if you ask me. I don't care for it much so I didn't get on it this year.

Taking off. I really like this picture. Elijah and Chloe look very serious and Naomi is busing smiling for the picture.

Elijah enjoyed the kneeboard as well. They were pretty brave to get outside the wake as soon as they were up. Elijah even would make it go sideways. I tried to get him to do a 360, but he never did. Maybe next year:) Video to follow on another post.

Some of the evenings the boys would fish. Elijah was the first to catch one.

When the adults played games, this is what the older kids did.....movies!!!

Caden caught a fish!!! He was pretty proud of himself.

Elijah wakeboarding. Video's to follow on another post. He got up on the FIRST try!!! Way to Go!!

This was Caden's cup of tea:). He loved it and always had a grin from ear to ear. Video to follow on another post.

We were able to use an actual Wakeboard boat so nick got some AMAZING jumps!! The highest ones Ive ever seen.

Sweet Liam loved the boat rides. Unfortunently he was getting 3 teeth all on the bottom the week we were on vacation so he wasn't the happiest child.

My first "air" that I caught. I know its not alot, but I am such a wimp. Those who know me know this is alot of "air" for me. Im so cautious on the water!! (kind of drives me nuts)

Thanks for such a great time Philip, Lana and kids. We hope we can do this again next year. Thanks to the Camps for the use of the cabin that we stayed at.

1st of the season

We found a decent lake to go to this summer. Of course the water is NOTHING like the lakes in TN, but at least this lake is not lined with houses and kind of appears to look like a TN lake:). We sure did enjoy our time and the boys were super excited to get in. We hope to hit this lake a few more times this summer.
Boys getting ready to jump in. The water was actually a decent temperature.
Caden ASKED us if he could ski!! He proudly got into the water, and put on his ski's. I told him to hold on tight, but when he fell to let go of the rope. I told him to stand up when his ski's are out of the water. Here he is getting ready.

Here he is getting up. Yes he got up, but only went about 10 ft total. This was his 5th attempt I think. His first time he didn't get up and fell right away, but he forgot to let go of the rope and so was dragged under water a bit. Sure scared me and him to be honest. He was then more fearful and had tears after that incident. Poor little guy, but still he did a good job and did end up getting up. We are so proud of our 4 year old Caden. (I told him if he got up Id blog about it...so that was a good incentive).

Liam really liked the water. He would just splash and splash and laugh and laugh. I could never let go of him though, or he would flip out.

The boys are getting ready to do a little tubing. Yes, Elijah put on a life jacket before we took off!!
Liam getting in the water again....I am actually holding onto his butt...you just can't tell.

Good job Elijah...we took off the bar that connects the ski's together for learning purposes....and he got up on the first try without that bar. So proud of you Elijah!!

Its Summer!!

It was getting pretty hot outside and the boys needed a way to cool off, so I got out the slip n slide. Now its a few years old and has a few flaws, so I got out the tape and was taping all the tiny little holes where the air was escaping. Got it patched up and away the kids went...having a great time. In fact they played on it NONSTOP for 2.5 hours!! I was shocked, but glad they had so much fun. Here are a few photo's of their fun time slipping around.
Caden having fun and would get pretty far...all the way to the "splash pool area" at the end.

It came with this float thing that you can use to slip on it, but its not nearly as fun. Elijah however can get going pretty fast and will slip n slide right off the entire slide and into the grass.
Love this picture...here is Elijah flying thru the air as he lands onto the slip n slide.

Now this must remain a secret to our boys....but Caden is getting a swimming pool for his birthday. One of those intex (12 ft by 32 inches) easy set up pools. So this slip n slide, since it has seen better days, is heading to the trash!!

It's Complete!!

Ever since we moved here to Indiana our boys have been asking for a tree house. Elijah drew up some plans that he wanted and that included a trap door and a fireman's pole to escape quickly. Nick set to work figuring out where to put the tree house and then drawing up his own plans. Of course he did include a trap door for the boys, but no fireman's pole. Here is the beginning stage back in April.
Nick got really far on it in April and then pretty much the month of May didnt work on it at all until Memorial Day Weekend when he finished it up.
While nick finished the shingles I laid carpet inside. The boys really do like it. We had some left over paint that was left here at our house so we painted the door to match our "real" house door. The shingles were given to us from Great Grandpa Gutwein and the siding was left over from our house as well which we found in the attic.

The finished product!! Well, almost. We have yet to add a zip line to the tree house that will take you down and across the back yard up to our house. This won't be put in until the fall or even next spring. One thing at a time:).

Of course the boys were super excited and had to sleep in it already....the first night it was completed. They would have slept in it last night, but it was expected to storm and so we said "no". They are waiting patiently for the next time:).
