Recorder Concert
This past Tuesday Elijah had a recorder program at school. I guess the new music teacher wanted the kids to show off what they have learned since Christmas with their new recorders. The school has never had a recorder program, but the principal was game for it....so of course we went to watch Elijah play. He did a good job, and there is a short video of him playing his solo for the concert:).

Yeah, never heard of that before. I'm sure it was fun for Elijah though. Glad he dressed up for the occasion:) Just kidding! I will have to watch the video on Jason's computer. For some reason it's not showing on my iPad...silly thing. Elijah should have brought his recorder here so that way he could have played his solo for us!
the kids were told to NOT dress up, but rather to wear school clothes....SO....he just wore what he wore to school that day:). The kid beside him in a tie was pretty much the ONLY kid in a tie.
I'll tell you about the solo sometime in an email:). Its kind of funny!!
You can tell that he was really concentrating on his solo as it sounded great. He is just growing up so fast.
Great Job Elijah! Sandra can't believe you're due so soon! Next month!?!? Time is flying!
Love how the kids all matched their recorders. Back in MY DAY they came in one color and only one color, black!! Cute!

Sandra...I just have to say that both of my oldest kids were talking today about "a really nice, tall boy named Elijah in Sunday school" that they thought was so cool:) Apparently he was just so kind to both of them today--what a testimony to great parents:)
