The boys and their daddy had a good time saturday morning attempting to make homemade donuts. The boys sure enjoyed this activity and asked to do it again already.

I made a maple glaze for some of the donuts and then we also did cinnamon and sugar. The donuts weren't the greatest quality so I think the next time we do them we will change up the recipe.

Here they are deep frying in our cool daddy. The last donut we did was a twist...need to make the twist tighter as it didn't stay together once it was thrown into the oil.

How fun! I bet the boys had a blast. Thanks for the pictures of Liam. They are so adorable!
Fun! You know, what I used to do (Cade has wheat intolerance so we dont' do anymore) is use biscuits for the dough- the little refrigerated kind. Just take them out and form a hole in each one and fry up- so yummy! They're less of a cake donut-type, more of a glazed type but really really good.
kristy...yes we have done those too, and we love them!! We were just trying out a few new recipe's we had got in the Taste of Homes magazine this past week:)
That sounds so fun! And those donuts look really good. :)
