Getting Settled In

Im annoyed right now with Blogger....this is the second time and I can't get these pictures to move around and get put into order. So with that being said...this post is going to be out of order and somewhat backwards. Sorry.

We are finally getting settled into our house and beginning to put things on the walls to make it our HOME. We are really enjoying our home and the boys are loving the outdoors to play. Here are some pictures of our house. Enjoy!

This is Liam's room. Its blue and yellow walls and looks really cute. Still want to put up brown roman shades and some decor on the walls.

First Overnight Visitor

this is a complete mess of a post. I can not get it to do what I want it to do, so it is completely out of order and the pictures won't make sense until you read the story at the bottom of this post. So skip down to the writting and then scroll back up to see the pictures:). Sorry guys.

We had a wonderful fun filled weekend with our "friends weekend" couples. I of course took my camera, but didn't even get it out!! So I only have a group photo to share. We had lots of fun laughing, playing games, talking and eating. Can it get any better than that? Thanks to our hosts this year Scott and Kate.

When we arrived home we unpacked our belongings and headed over to pick up a few other items at my parents house that we needed to unpack. When we got back home and began unloading our truck, a lady on a horse who was also pulling a horse yelled to us from the street. She asked about the pasture beside us and wondered if she could put her horses in the pasture for the night?! She began to explain that she is horseback riding across the country!!! Can you imagine?? We told her she was more than welcome to put her horses there and then come in and shower, eat and rest up for her journey in the morning. I did a load of clothes for her as well so she had clean clothes. She(Deb) began this journey last summer and started at the tip of Maine...rode too Ohio and had to stop due to weather and horse issues. She than began again this past July and has since rode from Ohio and is working her way and hoping to finish Iowa before the winter months set in. She gets 3 miles per hour on a horse!!! What a trip!! Deb hopes to finish next year and end at the tip of Washington. May God bless this journey she is taking and we hope she can accomplish this wild dream that she has had her whole life.

A First New First

Well, yesterday was the First day of school in a New school entering 2nd grade for the First time!! And boy was he excited. He ordered donuts for breakfast and then happily marched onto the bus. I asked him if he was scared at all and he said "no mom". I said "are you sure? What about riding the bus"? Of course I figured I'd have been scared to go on a new bus and a new school, but boys are just different and things like that don't seem to bother them which I am so thankful for. So now I sit here in peace and quiet as Caden is still in bed and so is Liam....oh the peacefulness that surrounds me:)

Life as we know it....for now!!

I know this is a bit behind as our life has been super busy and somewhat turned upside down. I think these pictures can tell you a story in itself so Im not going to explain:)

Me and the boys are currently living in my parents house and nick is living in lafayette for the week. We officially have our house, but the previous owners are not moved out yet, so we will wait until Friday to actually "move" in. I can hardly wait:)

Its Official

Well, our moving day is quickly approaching us. We are very excited and can not wait to move into our beautiful home. I of course forgot my camera the weekend we were home for the house inspection so I don't have alot of pictures and the ones I do are with all of the seller's belongings in them. So when I get some pictures of OUR home I'll post more.

We have a moving company coming on August 3rd to pack up our belongings and then will head out of TN on the 6th of August. We will close on the 7th of August and will actually not move into the IN home until the 14th of August. Even the boys are super excited and can't wait to build a tree house with their daddy in all those tree's and have a dog on all that land and run around the yard. Im even excited as well for them to be able to enjoy the yard and play play play!!!

Kitchen: one side of it...you can kind of see the peninsula on the bottom of the picture...this is where there are three bar chairs.Basment: this is one half of it...the other half is about the same, except it is wired for a kitchen area and there is a full bathroom down in the basement as well.I'll post more pictures and give you a tour once we are in our house and settled a bit:)

VBS Weekend

This past weekend we headed to a retreat center called Shocco Springs in Alabama for the Atlanta VBS. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed being with everyone one last time before moving back to Indiana. It was all bittersweet and we had a tough time saying our goodbyes to many of them as they have each found a place in our heart.

*If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Atlanta Church I highly recommend it....they are truly on fire for the Lord and welcome anyone with open arms*

Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Caden was just so tired one afternoon that he could not finish eating his lunch. He looked up at me and said "mommy, I am so tired, I just want to go to bed". I told him he could go to bed when we got back to our room. And before I finished my lunch, he was out cold!!

Our visiting minister was Les K. from Francesville and so their whole family came. It was really wonderful and their little Lana wanted to hold Liam any chance she got. She could always make him smile too. Thanks Lana for playing with him.

This is the group that was there....I think it was 83 people. This did include Athens church as well.

The older kids did a very very cute skit. Let me tell you...these girls LOVE to act!! Naomi....you were amazing!! (she is the one with the white curly wig on...mrs. noah) and Sheree you were a great "stuck up"!! (Sheree is on the end with earrings and sunglasses on her head)

The kids playing leap frog in the hallways and then of course finding ways to get dirty:)...can't be outside without at least getting some dirt on you or your clothes wet!

Oh Chloe....Elijah is going to miss you so much! We love you girlie girl.

This is the newest addition to the Philip and Lana S. family. He sure is a tiny little guy at a month old. Welcome to the world Avery!

Elijah decided the course was just way to easy and had to putt putt using only one leg:)

My Summer Do

So I decided to chop my hair and stay cool this summer. My neighbor Gina has a sister who is a hair stylist and she is in town and offered to cut my hair for me:) I was so excited and it was way cheaper too. I think she did a great job on it.

Yes, it is shorter in the back than in the front....but not a huge difference like some haircuts can be.

Also, I just had to post this picture of my boys...it just so happened that this past sunday they had on coordinating outfits and so we got a picture. You can't tell very well in this picture, but liam's outfit is blue and orange vertical stripes.
